The Role Of Bridge Detection Technology In Bridge Reinforcement

The Role Of Bridge Detection Technology In Structural Reinforcement

The main purpose and function of inspection and reinforcement of bridge concrete structure

(1) Master the bridge disease situation.

Through the comprehensive inspection of the concrete structure of bridge engineering, the detailed quality problems and diseases in the bridge engineering can be obtained. Combined with the survey results, the damage trend of the bridge is estimated, calculated and analyzed, and the bearing capacity of the bridge engineering is obtained, which provides a basis for the subsequent bridge reinforcement treatment.

(2) Ensure the safety of bridge operation.

With the continuous progress of social economy, the phenomenon of overloading and overloading on the highway is becoming more and more serious. When bridge engineering is not detected, strengthened and repaired in time, the bridge damage will intensify in the long run, resulting in traffic accidents. Therefore, only the necessary reinforcement treatment for the bridge damage can be carried out in time to ensure the safety of the bridge operation.

(3) Improve the economic benefits of bridges.

When there is a damage problem in the bridge project but the repair and reinforcement are not carried out in time, the bridge can only be reconstructed at this time. Therefore, it will increase the construction cost and lead to waste of resources, while the bridge maintenance and reinforcement only need to invest the necessary bridge maintenance and maintenance costs, so the economic benefits of the bridge are indirectly improved.

Bridge Reinforcement Technology

(1) Outsourcing concrete reinforcement method

This method is mainly applied to bridge piers, pile foundations, arch bridges and other structures. The outsourcing concrete reinforcement method should fully consider the influence of the concrete weight on the bearing capacity of the bridge, otherwise the reinforcement effect will not be guaranteed, but the structural bearing capacity will be increased instead.

(2) External prestressing reinforcement method

This method is mainly applied to bridge structures with reduced bearing capacity and cracks in the main beam. The external prestressing reinforcement method mainly applies external prestressing to the main girder to increase the compressive strength of the main girder structure and improve the overall bearing capacity of the bridge. When this method is used, the cracks on the main beam should be closed to avoid corrosion of the steel bars in the main beam.

(3) Reinforcement method to reduce the self-weight on the arch

There are three main methods to reduce the self-weight on the arch by adjusting the distribution of the dead load on the arch to relieve the bridge load. The second is to use concrete T-beams and use lower-quality bridge decks to replace the original arch bridge decks. The third is to lower the bridge deck elevation and reduce the use of materials on the arch.
